Lulu & Mooky's

Lulu & Mooky's is a little ice cream shop in Lower Manhattan where people go to get ice cream with a side of madness. I was told this place uses liquid Nitrogen to make ice cream and I couldn't say no! If any of you do not know what liquid nitrogen does well try applying it to your most sensitive areas and find out. (In reality Guacamilli does not advise anyone to apply liquid Nitrogen to any of their body parts or perform such a dangerous task )

You can either go insane or play it safe by adding several flavors (from over 40) into one concoction of awesomeness. Some of the choices are Hazelnut, Almond, Mango, Strawberry, burnt sugar, Irish cream, cream soda, root beer and even HOT SAUCE! I believe I had burnt sugar, something alcoholic and Coconut not too adventurous. I really liked the flavors they offered I spent more time choosing my heavenly combo than eating it. It was delicious but I suggest you have a friend or a date because the ice cream can be a little on the heavy side probably because of a certain cream they use. enjoi

Talent Thai Kitchen

210 E 34th St # 1
New York, NY 10016-4847
Lunch Special Hours: 11:30-4:00 PM

I went to this place with a couple of friends. I have to say that their lunch special deal is amazing. Free appetizer, free bottled water (Poland Spring), and an entree for 7.95?! I'm in.

I'm pretty boring when it comes to Thai food. I always order Spicy Basil Noodles at every  Thai place that I go. It's almost like an addiction. So how did Talent measure up to my favorite Thai dish? It was tolerable. It was not too oily, had just enough spice, and I loved the texture of the flat noodles. The portion size was also very generous. But, for being spicy basil noodles, I barely tasted any basil at all. It wasn't something that tasted amazing to me, but for only 7.95 I have no complaints. I wish I ordered their Khao Soi instead, since I've read reviews that it is delicious.

Other than the food, I thought the service was very good. The staff deserves a lot of praise for having patience for a bevy of loud girls (and one boy, holla Daniel!) at lunchtime. My only problem was that despite having two doors to prevent the cold from coming inside, it still managed to creep in. I felt like I needed to keep my coat on for the entire lunch. On another note, I loved the bathroom! Super duper nice, and smells like vanilla.

So the verdict? I'd definitely come back, probably never for dinner, but for lunch once again. You really can't beat their lunch deal.
